Let's pull this three way deal everyone's been talking about and turn our attention to Sarunas Jasikevicius. The C's get a pick, probably from a team with cap space, which at this point, is synonymous with lottery. And we have space enough to pursue Jasikevicius, considered the best player in Euroleague, as well as the toughest competitor. The man wins, and who needs to know more than that?

We could use a point guard, and this is the most qualified man for the job. Relagating Marcus Banks to possibly an NBDL stint (thanks to the new CBA), or at the very least having him see limited minutes. Could be a good thing or a bad thing. Either way, I would love to see Jasikevicius in a C's uniform, as I think he would be the right man to lead this team to new heights.

Um why would any team want to give up something for Walker when they can just flat out sign him?

Because the C's have made abundantly clear that they will be matching offers for him, and the way for him to become available is only through S&T.

But he's a Un-restricted FA and the C's don't own any of his rights (i.e. Bird Rights). If a team wants him and he likes that team, he can go just sign with them and the Celtics can't do anything about it. The Celtics are over the cap as of now so all they have the MLE like all the other teams over the cap.
