C.J. Fair, the former Syracuse University forward, has accepted an offer to work out with the Indiana Pacers, his father said Sunday. Fair, who was not selected in the NBA's draft back in June, had been looking for an invitation to an NBA team's preseason training camp. The workout with the Pacers could be a precursor to a camp invitation. Fair's father, Carl, said in a text message that Fair would report to the Pacers after Labor Day. That is when some veterans, along with a few undrafted free agents, often work out with teams in the hopes of earning a spot on the team.
