Who would have thought pick 55 in the 2009 draft (Patty Mills) would playing for the NBA championship contending Spurs; and pick 6 (Jonny Flynn) would be out of the NBA and playing for Patty's old club the Melbourne Tigers in Australia's National Basketball League?

And coached by former Trail Blazer (sort of) Chris Anstey.

Jonny Flynn to replace Kevin Braswell at Melbourne Tigers

Honestly, I would have considered them comparable talents coming in. Very similar players, really. Flynn just had the East Coast hype. I'm more surprised that Mills is still in the league than that Flynn is out of it.

Waiting on MM's standard "Syracuse" post.

I wish we still had Patty Mills. He'd be instant offense off the bench.

i really liked Patty. we may have signed him prior to the 2011-12 season, but he played for Melbourne and in China. we lost him because of the lockout.. little known/realized fact: two of Patty's three high point NBA games came against the Warriors.

I love Mills' personality, but Earl Watson is an excellent defender.

Just think if Kahn had drafted Steph Curry instead.

Or Ty Lawson... Oh wait, he did. Then traded him, kept Flynn and Rubio and then signed Ridenour and Barea. Out of those 5 PGs, the best player was the one he never intended to keep. Is it any wonder Minnesota sucks so bad?

I wish Kahn was still GM of the T-wolves.

    Or the Lakers.

I think he's worked his magic in Minnesota. It's time for someone like LA or maybe Miami to bring him in.
