<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle was asked about 50 minutes before Game 5 what's going to determine whom he starts -- Austin Croshere or Jeff Foster. "How I feel," Carlisle said. He didn't have to make a decision; Foster decided it for him. For the second time in this playoff series, a Pacers official notified the media less than an hour before tipoff that a player would miss a game with an injury. Foster missed Tuesday's game with a sore lower back, an injury he has been dealing with for several games. (Small forward Peja Stojakovic was a last-minute scratch in Game 2 with a sore right knee.) "Before the game when (Foster) was warming up, before we went out for real warm-ups, he moved a certain way and it went out on him," Carlisle said. Foster said after the game that he hopes to play in Thursday's Game 6. Croshere started at power forward and Jermaine O'Neal slid to center Tuesday night. Point guard Jamaal Tinsley (foot) also missed Tuesday's game. There was some thought he would be available, but that changed once he woke up sore. "He's been ramping up his activity level to try to get to a point where he can play . . .," Carlisle said. "I guess what happened was it was a little more sore than we hoped." Stojakovic done? Stojakovic missed his third game in the series with his knee injury. There's growing concern that Stojakovic will miss the rest of the playoffs. Stojakovic didn't do anything during the team's morning shootaround and he didn't test the knee before the game, giving more of an indication of how severe the injury is. "It's a significant situation," Carlisle said. "It is day to day, but it's one of these things that's tough to gauge. We hope he feels good enough to play in Game 6, but I don't know; we'll have to wait and see."</div> Source
