Often, Stoudemire gets into foul trouble to the point that only Golden State's Andris Biedrins has more fouls this season.

Suns assistant coach Marc Iavaroni links the two issues.

"I think he has foul trouble when he has energetic spurts and that leads to inconsistencies and fouls," Iavaroni said.

Wednesday was a banner night for Stoudemire, who was called for no fouls - the first time that's happened this season. Iavaroni said Stoudemire's fouls can come from trying to do too much or from inconsistent defensive techniques. But, Iavaroni said, the trouble is usually tied to energy lapses.</div>
