So what do you guys think about this mock draft. I'm a little surprised that Young dropped so far to the Ravens. But I'm okay with it since Michael Huff, Brodrick Bunkley, Jimmy Williams, AND Haloti Ngata got picked just before the Ravens. And the Ravens have no choice since there is a huge gap between Leinhart, Cutler, and Young from the other QB's.

I don't see the Vikings taking a WR in the first round, just a gut feeling.

The Bears shouldn't take a WR over TE since Leonard Pope is out there still.

Broncos picking Jason Allen is a great pick and he might get to see some action next year under John Lynch and he is rated pretty high by other teams.

The last three picks (Indianapolis, Seattle, and Pittsburgh) are highly disagreeable (If that is even a word) picks. The Colts can go for a OLB to replace Cato June or David Thorton. Seattle might look for a guard like Max-Jean-Giles and would be a potential starter since they lost Steve Hutchinson to the Vikings. Pittsburgh already have a good pair of running backs, Willie Parker and Duce Staley. THey might want to look for a WR or an O-linemen or defense.

Deanglo Williams isnt the panthers type of back. If the panthers were going to take a 1st round back they would most likely take White because he is a grinder like John Fox wants. I dont think Fox is going to give up on last years 2nd round pick Eric Shelton, so i see them either moving up and taking pope or staying put a drafting Thomas Howard or Demeco Ryans

I don't see Minny taking a WR either. Bobby Carpenter is the name that keeps coming up with my drafts.

Bears might take a WR as they missed on Randle-El

I've heard the Broncos could take a Safety. It wouldn't surprise me to the them get LenDale.

Ravens need a DT to replace Keomateou (sp?).

It is very feasible for Maroney to land in Indy. Steelers could draft White as a replacment for Bettis.

Miami has signed numerous DB's and won't draft Joseph. Even, if Nick signs Arrington, The 'phins need depth at LB and a playmaker like Lawson could easily step in as Seau's replacement and would fit Miami's hybrid D.

Wasn't as bad as I thought...

Bunkley is probably the #1 DT on half the boards in this draft...

With a chance to land Holmes that late I'd take him over Pope as well if I were the Bears. Especially with the depth of this draft at TE and Holmes is still consider the top WR in the Draft on some boards. I rate Jackson higher myself but an arguement can be made for Holmes.

Colts biggest need is got to be RB.. They haven't addressed it in Free agency and Maroney has great value..

With all that said I think it was a poor mock draft for a media source but they need to put something out..

Carpenter doesn't fit their scheme that will though. Ernie Sims and Chad Greenway are perfect fits.

Mario Williams would be the best player on the board at that point. In most mock drafts I've seen, if the Saints take Ferguson, the Jets take Williams. If the Saints take Williams, the Jets get Ferguson.

I've been hearing talk of the Vikings moving up for AJ Hawk. The QB scramble is on and might be too competitive to get into, but AJ Hawk would address a weak spot on the defense. I too think that they will look at the WR position later in the draft - not in the first round. After all, Brad Johnson really isn't the guy to make a new star WR shine.
