<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">OAKLAND, Calif., Jan. 12 (AP) -- Golden State forward Mickael Pietrus sprained his left ankle on the first possession of the Warriors' game against Miami on Friday night, and center Adonal Foyle then sprained his right ankle in the second quarter.

Pietrus, the Warriors' third-leading scorer with 14.2 points per game, was hurt when Dwyane Wade stepped on his foot while driving to the basket. After Pietrus remained on the court in pain for a few minutes, teammates carried him into the locker room.

The Warriors said Pietrus wouldn't return. He missed two games earlier this season with injuries, and two more with an illness.

Foyle, Golden State's high-priced but seldom-used backup center, sprained his right ankle when he landed on Dorell Wright's foot in the second quarter. Foyle returned to the Warriors' bench shortly before halftime with his ankle re-taped, but the team said he wouldn't play in the second half. </div>

this may be big if Pietrus takes a while to return. GS is already an 18-20 team thats struggling and it will be even tougher with the 3rd leading scorer out.
