Is he gonna stay with Jameer as the backup or trade him for someone like Ray Allen and let Jameer start?

I think he will stay(if he comes), but Jameer wil still get solid minutes.Or maybe when Jameer gets in they will switch Franchise to sg and let Mobley play less mpg.

Francis will stay for sure he is one of weisbrod favorite players. he loves francis toughness especially the time when francis got into that confrontation with amare, weisbrod loved that he was sticking up for a teammate. IMO, weisbrod see some qualities in francis that he doesn't see in t-mac. I guess some are obvious. I still think nelson will get quality minutes even with him and francis in the same backcourt. If anyone goes after the trade it will be mobley from everthing I'm reading I would like that 3 way to go through with golden state so we could get richardson and fred jones. We would have a freakish althletic team then!!

Fred Jones plays for Indiana. I think the trade would include Popeye Jones not Fred Jones. Unless I got the rumor messed up. I would definitely trade Gooden and Mobley for Richardson and Cliff Robinson. Gooden is a cancer to the team. He has potential but is a cry baby and has poor work ethic. I think he has decided to do what too many players in the league are doing. Just in it for the money. IMO that is the key to building this team players who bust their a-- and want to win. This is why the pistons spanked the Lakers. Sorry for going on a rant here but there are allot of people that seem to love Drew Gooden for whatever reason. [IMG] [IMG]

    No.
Gooden is a good player. He just had a rough year sharing with Juwan, playing center, being on the Magic, etc...

The 02-03 Playoff Gooden is still inside him...

Sorry for whatever reason I thought you had said fred jones lol. but either way I woud love that deal to go through. I think golden state likes gooden because he had one of his best games against them last year.

No Juwan Howard was the cancer on our team. He's the reason Drew played like he did this season. If you remember last years playoffs Drew dominated there. He will dominate this season coming up if he stays with the Magic IMO. He will get the minutes to perform greatly and that's he's going to do,perform greatly.

This is what I'm thinking. Let Francis start and Jameer come off the bench. If Jameer shows promise then try him out at the starting PG and see how he perfroms. If poorly then keep francis at the starting PG if average or above then let jameer start.

I like the idea of trading Cutino Mobley and Gooden for Jason Richardson and Clifford Robinson. It would be an upgrade at the 2 spot and also give the Magic a seasoned veteran at PF who can teach Dwight Howard the game of basketball for a couple of years. If the Magic could get two years out of Robinson, he could really help out the team by mentoring the future star of the team. To me, you can't put a price tag on that. He is also a guy who isn't going to hurt you. He still can play solid minutes and does a good job on the defensive end.

I haven't heard ANY J-Rich trade rumors. He's their most popular player in G.S. I don't think that rumor is true.

Personally, I'd rather have Mobley and Gooden than Richardson and Robinson. Mainly because of Gooden. He has shown flashes of greatness and he could easily be an all-star if he was consistant.
