<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Chris Sheridan/ESPN Insider - Chris Sheridan of ESPN is reporting that it is no longer a matter of whether Steve Francis is dealt, but when. New York and Denver are the leading candidates as of now, but Minnesota is trying to engineer a three-team deal that would put Francis alongside Kevin Garnett and Ricky Davis. A long-shot possibility is Francis returning to Houston. Wednesday night's Orlando-Detroit trade removed the possibility of Kelvin Cato going to New York in a Francis trade, but the Knicks can still do a Hardaway-Francis deal by removing Jamal Crawford from the equation and substituting Trevor Ariza and rookies David Lee and/or Nate Robinson.</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives..._will_be_dealt/ Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, GOODBYE!
as much as i have wanted to pull my hair out when dooling gets wild, he can play some D, in the heat game he was killing GP at the end and he was even holdin wade at the end of the night for a lil while. he is a good asset to the team that lacks team defense.
Yeah I agree he does play good D but as much as he turns the ball over, Holds the ball too long and takes quick shots, those all lead to points too I don't think his good D is worth it, and just think we probly could have had duhan or watson (Both good defenders and better ball handlers) but we signed this guy. WHY
Keyon Dooling is a great role player, but he's much of a playmaker. He's needs to be on the court with another player who can handle the ball and make decisions. For example, Grant Hill would be perfect, because Grant can run the offense, while Dooling plays off the ball. He's similar to a faster, younger version of Derek Fisher. Keyon Dooling is not a point guard, nor does have point guard skills.
I'm curious as to who Orlando would get in return if Steve Francis returned to Houston. Obviously they wouldn't be willing to part with T-Mac or Yao Ming. Houston just doesn't look like they would have anyone who Orlando would want in return for the Franchise if they name even suits him anymore. My favorite senario personally is sedning him to Denver. I'd like what we would be getting in return. Minnesota isn't willing to part with Ricky Davis or KG. New York is possible, but I'm not liking crawford going to Orlando.
we use him as a point though and he is horrible even when he played with Grant he still controlled the ball, he takes too much tim to run the offense and eventually settles for a 17ft jumpshot and misses most of the time. (fg=38%)
Well he needs to play with Grant Hill and not control the ball then. The sooner Brian Hill figures out he's not a point guard/decision maker the better off he'll be on the Magic.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm hearing Francis for Odom with quite a few others involved also.</div> I just read an article about that on RealGM. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Orlando Sentinel - Add the Los Angeles Lakers to the list of possible suitors for Orlando Magic guard Steve Francis. The Lakers are "aggressively" pursuing a trade that would send forward Lamar Odom to the Magic for Francis in a multiplayer deal, NBA sources told the Orlando Sentinel today. Odom, a 6-foot-10, 230-pound forward, is an all-around player lost in Kobe Bryant's immense shadow with the Lakers. He was acquired in that megadeal involving Shaquille O'Neal and the Miami Heat . Odom, who is averaging 13.9 points and 9.2 rebounds, has four more years remaining in a contract worth about $51 million. Francis, who has three more years and about $48 million left on his deal, is in Houston, where he has a home and is attending the festivities involving the NBA All-Star Weekend. Francis' agent, Jeff Fried, said today that the Magic haven't informed him that a trade was pending. The trade deadline is Thursday. "There's no change in Steve's situation that I'm aware of," he said.</div> http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives..._francis_derby/
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm hearing Francis for Odom with quite a few others involved also.</div> I'm hearing Francis to the Lakers also, but Odom is not involved straight up. There's a 3rd team in the mix.
It better be the Knicks getting Francis. I think he's the type of person that we can use. The Knicks probably have the best offer, too. You can't get any better than an expiring contract, and young talent, and the Knicks are offering that.
Is it me or are the Magic just stock piling the PG position. I mean I understand we r giving away one PG but we dont need one in return we have too many as it is. Watson, robinson, head, we dont need any more PG's lets address the SG.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheHighness:</div><div class="quote_post">my guess would be stromile Swift and fillers mabe Luther Head</div> No way Houston would ever pull the trigger on that deal... But I think it would make sense for Francis to end up in either Minny or, to a much lesser extent, LA...Phil Jackson allows more freedom offensively than Larry Brown, and I would hope that at this point in his career, Francis realizes that he's a second-tier player and will do everything in his power to make life easier for Kobe...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TheHighness:</div><div class="quote_post">my guess would be stromile Swift and fillers mabe Luther Head</div> Would take a lot of fillers to make up the $10M gap in salaries. Besides, why would Orlando want Stromile Swift for five years?
nah Ny doesnt need francis anymore... they don't need 2 star PG's... i think steve is heading for l.a. for odom bec. orlando needs a mid sized guy to complete the trio of nelson, howard, by adding odom... now that's something for both sides. Orlando PG: Nelson SG: Dooling?? SF: Odom PF: Howard C: Battie Lakers PG: Francis SG: Bryant SF: George or Cook PF: Kwame or Cook C: Mihm
