Frankie Edgar will be making his FW debut and stepping in for Erik Koch, who is injured.

Frankie Edgar may have Urijah Faber dominated as the king of title shots. Good Lord...I like this fight thought, Aldo will make it exciting and Frankie may have a bit of a power increase down at FW.

I think Aldo wins, I think he's too strong and unlike Maynard, if he hurts Frankie, he'll finish him, but it should be a fun fight.

Good scrap but Edgar has lost two straight and both performances have been underwhelming. Rather see the Korean Zombie.

Seems like Faber gets title shots largely because hes one of the most well known fighters of the sub-155 divisions. He's had 5 title shots since 2008 and lost every single one. Edgar did beat Penn twice (Penn looked borderline untouchable prior to this), went to draw with an undefeated Maynard, then KOed Maynard, lost a pretty close UD to Bendo and then split decision loss to Bendo.

FWIW Faber usually does seem to be the most qualified for the title shot, even though he barely has to do anything to earn them. There's no doubt Frankie is a top shelf LW, and the wins prove it. That's a VERY competitive division and he was duking it out with the top guys there for a long time.

But yes, this is an awesome fight and props to Frankie for taking it on relatively short notice.
