    Light-welterweight contender Frankie Figueroa is considering his future in the sport today, as he announced on his Facebook page that he is not sure if he will ever fight again. Figueroa has an impressive record of 20-3 13KO’s. Although he has beaten the likes of Emanuel Augustus, the Puerto Rican born, New York based fighter is frustrated at the lack of quality opposition and big name fights for him to be a part of.

    “El Gato” has he refers to himself has sparred with the likes of Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey, but has never got the big break in for himself. He currently provides personalised workout/fitness classes for members of the public. Figueroa is said to be happy continuing with these classes, and is thought to be financially sound by doing this.
