Fred Couples says if he hadn't become a professional golfer, his dream job would have been to play center field for the New York Yankees. Well, he is a golfer and, more precisely, the best male golfer the state has produced. Friday, Seattle's favorite gifted golf son will start a quest to go 1-for-2 in tournaments in his home state this month. Couples, who finished second to Bernhard Langer in the U.S. Senior Open at Sahalee Country Club on Aug. 1, will be the crowd favorite when he tees off at 1 p.m. Friday with Langer and Nick Price in the first round of the Boeing Classic.
