Will he ever be the suceesor for Reggie Miller? He didnt play that much last season. Also he is undersized for the two position but is very athletic. Next year will tell how good he can be.
he'll probably sit again all of next year, and probably the next, until whenever reggie retires, and even then i dont think its assumed he'll just start from then on. at this point he would be lucky if he's in the league past his rookie contract. the pacers have so much young decent talent, how long has bender been there and he usually never plays, ron mercer averaged over 20 ppg with the bulls and he hardly plays with indiana, they need to trade a few young people for a near superstar, becasue deep teams like that never end up winning because to win u have to have more of a clear starting team, and clear backups/roleplayers, indy doesnt have that
i dont think anyones saying he's gonna be better than reggie, the question was will he ever be the successor to reggie miller, as in starting for him when he retires, and i think the answer is no, although he does develop quickly in nba 2k3
i think fred jones was injured most of last season so he barely got to see any p/t. his success will depend on how he develops and if has the commitment to work hard in the off-season and improve his outside game. he reminds me of a young michael finley because he is very athletic and is streaky from the 3-point line. i'm sure the pacers will make room for him to get more minutes if they feel he can produce and improve the team. the pacers have a collection of young talent, but their biggest concern right now is resigning JO.
Well... I remember a play when he made a one handed dunk over somebody. Maybe thats a good siign For Fred Jones or is it a bad sign. I agree with the people who said he was really athletic. I say his playing time should grow at the very most next year for them. I think he would be a good perimeter shooter. He might be the key for the pacers
