<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There will be no pre-event rituals or good-luck charms. Fred Hoiberg is taking his cue from Kevin McHale, and, as Hoiberg said of the Timberwolves vice president of basketball operations, "He's one of the least superstitious people I know."

Still, the Wolves clearly wish Hoiberg luck. Odds-defying luck.

On Tuesday night, the NBA will hold its draft lottery. For the first time since 1999, the Wolves will be present. And Hoiberg, for a while, will be the face of the franchise.

The lottery will determine the first 14 spots in the June 28 draft. The Wolves finished with the best record among non-playoff teams, meaning they have the longest statistical shot at reaching one of the top three spots. They have a 0.5 percent chance of landing the top spot.

    Again: Good luck.</div>

Well since the NBA lottery is fixed. And the NBA wants Kevin Garnett in the playoffs next year cause its good for business(and the NBA knows the only way to immdiatelly get younger for the Wolves would be the draft), I think they will be generious to the Wolves this year, especially since they havent had a first rounder since the Joe smith inccident. They wont give the Wolves a top 5 pick, but the Wolves moving into the top 10 wouldnt shock me...they will be no lower then 11 tho...mark my words.

I thought the Wolves could have done better. I was hoping to get up to #9 at least.
