I was reading some of the cap numbers and I was amazed that the 49ers have $38 million to spend!!!

I know they will aggressively try to go for players like Ken Hamlin and Adalius Thomas. Mike Nolan has a history with Thomas since he was the DC for the Ravens.

They better spend their money wisely.

Well i think this year could bring the 49ers to an 8 or 9 win season and maybe put them in the playoffs. Just get a reciever and a nice CB

they have potential, frank gore with vernon davis, they just need 2 improve a lil more at the QB spot, improve the offensive line, and if they get thomas and hamlin that would be good additions, and they really need 2 improve they d-line 2. but like mystery man said they might can get 9 wins and maybe a playoff spot if they beat the right teams

Great start for the Niners. We're trying to get around 7 defensive guys hopefully three or four big namers.Love the Lewis signing!!!

I think they will go after a reciever in the draft now since we sured up the CB position. If Branch is still eldft, we'll prolly get him though which I definately wiouldn't have a problem with.I think it is very likely that they could challenge for the Division Crown!Without a doubt.Great start, keep it going!!!!

Not nessesarlly.. Just because u have big names doesn't mean they will play well together!!! Look at Washington Using all that money bringing in the huge names and still accomplishing dittily shit.. Big names doesn't make a Team!! chemistry makes a team.. Just ask New England!!!

Im not saying the whole D is good, and never said they can do well, but those two tighter, in my opinion, are good players. I never said they can work with one an other. [IMG]

Personally I think the 49ers have a lot of work to do yet. Lewis has struggled for a few years now and Clements isn't worth that much at all. I rather spend the money wisely than waste it. Not to say they didn't get better. They did. Just not as much as people might think.
