Good to have severino and horrible fucking ackley already botched 2 plays tex makes in his sleep. Come on joe put your shit on the field when cc pitches when it won't matter anyway.
I think they're going to rest Tex as much as possible this year & sadly Ackley is there only option to back him up.
3 runs on 8 hits & 75 pitches through 4 innings. Severino is not on today. Down 3 zip the Yankee offense better wake up.
4 players capable of hitting 20+ HRs & you rest 3 of them = B O R I N G!!!!! 2 hits all day with only 1 player reaching 2nd base, This game sucks.
I understand resting a player here & there but damn, resting a third of your regulars all for one game is IMO a little over kill. Oh well, look at the bright side tomorrow we have our ace going, SEEYA! Sabathia.
Girardi tells the opposition....'we will give you this game'.....when our defense is less the average. When listening to John Sterling, I can tell quickly that the Yankees are losing. He has no enthusiasm whatsoever. He wears his Yankee heart on his tongue! Hate to listen to him tomorrow when CC is off his game. Team has been deplorable for years when playing in Detroit.
You can't cry about the older players getting rest and then if they don't complain when the same players are sucking wind and not producing in the second half of the season.
As I said Vic, I've no problem resting players but you don't rest 1/3rd of your starting nine & the brunt of your offense for the same game. JMO.
