Is it time the premiership went continental and started having a Friday night game? The fans would love it, the tv watching public would love it and it could help solve the fixture crisis some clubs have at this time of year.

France, Spain, Portugal etc. all do this and for Champions league teams, it often gives an extra day to train and recover. Lille/Lyon got an extra day to recover, as I'm sure a few other teams did.

The coming game between Liverpool and Man Utd would be an ideal "Friday" game. Each team would have an extra day to recover and train for Europe, Anfield would be full and the pubs and bars would get massive revenues as punters packed to watch the game. Perfect.
