Its an almost Christ-like show. Based off the movie/book but with a few changes here and there in detail and made around 20th century setting. Its really good IMO, who else watched the season premier today? Thoughts?
Its based on the book about the Permian Panthers of Odessa, TX. I live like 1 and half hours north of there. Book was great, movie was ok, not sure about the sitcom. You should see how they do now, they really aren't that good any more. But thats how it is in football in Texas. Anyone seen Varsity Blues? I think shows it perfectly.
Good book and movie. But from what I hear, neither of them follow up to be the true story. You know how Hollywood isVaristy Blues is a great movie
I watched it last night. I thought it was a great show. I didn't know it was based on the book or movie though.
Aww man. I was going to watch it too but I forgot because I was studying for a test... But the movie was pretty good so I'm assuming the tv show should be either pretty good or ok...

What is a "Christ-like" show mean?</div>In the show it's basically all Christians there it seems like even though it's a public school and they pray before games and stuff like that that schools won't do these days.
