From what I've read, these guys represent the extreme poles of opinion on whether the Blazers should do a trade before the deadline. Where do you stand in the spectrum? Oops, didn't hit the poll checkbox on the first post.
As an outsider,I'd trade Raef, only if you get a impact player for the next few years, cause he does expire this year and that is a lot of room. I'd still trade Raef.
Of course we only want a quality trade with Raef's contract though. KP is savvy enough that we don't have to worry about him making a trade for Jerome James if that's the only deal on the table. My point is that this trade deadline is probably going to better than this summer for deals since it's a perfect storm of a bad economy for some teams plus the lack of cap space with Miles back on the books.
I voted Craig Ehlo, but really I'm more in the Craig Mixum category. RLEC is too valuable too waste, but regardless the team should upgrade.....But not trade just to trade.
Hey, I've been saying "Make good trades, avoid bad trades" for years, since it's always true. Now Ed O creatively edits a Canzano piece and steals all the credit for that bit of sense? Just ain't fair. I'm gonna vote for MIXUM in protest.
I voted for Maris, though I'm really somewhere between Ed O and Maris. It would have to be a RIDICULOUS trade before I'd want to see it done. Many people seem to think the ONLY way we can use Raef's contract is to trade it now. Well, in the offseason, we'll have cap space and we can make a trade to consolidate talent by absorbing a larger contract than we send out. That seems more likely than us trading RLEC for somebody like Luol Deng, in my opinion. (at least now...but maybe a player like that becomes available in the offseason?)
I sense voting irregularity! I want an congressional investigation! I voted for Bake It but I show up as voting for Ed!!!! (Ok, not really, I DID vote for Ed). Gramps...
