The 2007 Tampa Bay Devils Rays bullpen was by far the worst bullpen in the last 60 years posting 6+ ERA, which contributed to many heartbreaking losses last season. But when the Tampa Bay organization decided to head a new direction with a new name, logo and uniforms they saw they tremendously need to revamp the Bullpen. We added key veterans in closer Troy Percival, lefty reliever Trevor Miller, veteran Dan Wheeler (who was acquired before trade deadline last year), and we moved starter JP Howell to long relief. These moves along with veteran leadership, the Rays bullpen has posted MLB leading 2.26 ERA and .210 AVG. Another contributor to this is Jason Bartlett, who has been defensively solid at SS.
