Frustrations mount for Sabres

    The Buffalo Sabres had tried to downplay talk of their struggles. Don't worry, they said, as soon as the defense starts clicking, so will the offense. It's not that big of a deal, just stay on an even keel and things will be fine.

    Ha.

    Things are not fine in Sabreland. The calmest veterans are losing their cool, the coach is benching his money men and the losses are piling up. The frustrations began to show Friday night.

    The Sabres lost yet again in HSBC Arena, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Montreal Canadiens. The fans who took part in the four-game homestand walked into the Western New York streets with only an 0-3-1 record to show for their troubles.
