Florida State junior Clint Trickett will transfer, the school announced Wednesday, likely putting an end to the Seminoles' ongoing quarterback battle. Trickett, whose father is the team's offensive line coach, started two games for Florida State in 2011, played in eight games in 2012, and entered the spring atop the depth chart. Trickett's experience gave him a minor leg up in a four-man race to replace EJ Manuel, but redshirt freshman Jameis Winston appeared to overtake Trickett following the Seminoles' spring game last week in which he completed 12-of-15 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns.
