Cung Le tested positive for HGH after losing to Michael Bisping in Macau in August. The details of the test weren't made clear but it seems that there was some fuckery involved in the testing process. Fans, myself included, referencing his training camp pics featuring a rather shredded 42-year old, assumed he was on gear and the positive test reinforced that assumption. Cung Le has maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal. The test itself has been thrown out and Le has been un-suspended and cleared of wrongdoing but he is still salty about it and has requested his release from the UFC. He feels let down by the company, having been a company man for them and felt betrayed they didn't take his complaints about the testing process seriously. He says he doesn't believe in the UFC any more. They have yet to grant his release (and may not) due to the real possibility that he'll go to Bellator and reunite with long time friend Scott Coker. Le says that isn't his priority. http://mmajunkie.com/2014/12/in-wak...n-cung-le-requested-release-from-ufc-contract
I seem to recall Dana White saying not so long ago that if guys don't want to be in the UFC they don't want them there, either. I guess when they have some name recognition (Le, Wand Silva) that is another matter altogether? Le is in his forties and has only fought four times in the last four years (2-2), as has Silva.
