This lack of scoring has been going on for way too long. It shows how thin we are in the farm regarding natural scorers. They need to change their drafting strategy. Draft the skilled kids with natural scoring abilities and not Callahan type players or D-men. We have those plenty.

Hopefully guys like Tambellini, Buchnevich and Nieves pan out, but I agree they need to start drafting for skill more in the next few years, even though it may be a crapshoot.

The lack of scoring was due to moron Torts and Renney having stupid systems. This year the lack of scoring was simply due to injuries and players getting used to a new system. Nothing more. Last year with a stupid system Stepan was on pace for almost 80 points, Hagelin 50 and Callahan 30 goals. That despite having a block shots with your face first system. There really is no telling how well we drafted offensively until we see a full year of AV with his system and a healthy team.

I want guys drafted in the kreider size mold...... big, fast, hit hard, score and additionally can handle themselves when challenged
