Go with the safe pick and get Gallery. If you can trade down a couple spots and get him, do it. I think Brees has gotten a bad rap and would perform better with talent in front of him. I'm sure LT would appreciate it as well.

If they trade down with the Giants, they absolutely should draft Gallery. Mabye they can get additonal picks and grab a big time receiver as well. They need so much help it's ridiculous.

Exactly, and I think a decent WR will be there at the top of round 2. Plus, they would pick up an extra pick somewhere.

We'll see how committed to winning the Chargers are. If the Coaching Staff screws this up, fire them all. (Even though I like Schottenheimer.)

I totally agree with that. I would make a trade with the Giants and try to get Hiliard to fix up the WR core, and and get the 4th pick and pick Gallery. With LT, and Hilliard they Chargers will be a better team, and Brees should shine. I think he's a good young QB, it's just that now a day the team dont give players a chance to develop. It takes time Marty, chill back and let the kid play.

They're in the pole position. I'm just saying that if they don't make the best out of having the first pick, they need to give up.

Lee Evans would be a great pick but his status is rising

I think they did well with the situation. I'm not so sure I would have wasted the pick on Rivers. I don't think he's top 5 material. They should have had the Giants draft a big time receiver and acquired the rights to him instead. Brees was a wasted pick apparently.

Yet another wasted #1 pick. Like Cowboy suggested, you should have picked Gallery. Stupid. that's the life of a San Diego Charger. I guess that's why over 50% of the Charger v. Raider games are Raider fans...

The worst part of the Chargers situation is that they need about 14 quality players to fill 22 starting spots... I mean having 8 total good or above average players just doesn't cut the mustard. It does make you wonder about their committment to win.

With Eli Manning being able to hand off to a RB like Tomlinson, that would have taken so much pressure off him. Instead, Eli recognises the Chargers for what they really are, and declares that he doesn't want to play for them. This is yet one more slap in the face to San Diego.

I'm looking forward to the Halloween game this year, the ninth Raider home game. We should have swept the Dolts last year if not for the suspension of Woodson and Garner.

I just don't know when San Diego will turn the corner. I'm sure Ladainian will be long gone by the time the Chargers actually get their act together.

It is true LT might be long gone before the "Sparks" decide to play with the big boys. But one other factor might an issue, will he be worn out before he even gets a chance to be a FA.
