Let's face what every Yankee fan knows, we are at least 2 years away from competing for the World Series at best. Winning the East is not the benchmark. As we sell at the deadline, Gallo has to be the #1 priority which could help in being an anchor to build on. I have no faith that with the exception of Mateo and Sanchez translating to the show and with and outside possibility of Fowler to ever contribute. Judge has seem to level out over the last 400 AB.

This not to say that there shouldn't be other targets, with the pieces being dangled of Miller, Chapman, and Beltran.

Frank I hope you're not talking about THIS Gallo.http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/gallojo01.shtml And I hoping Cashman is smart enough to get someone solid for someone like Miller Chapman or Betances. For Beltran I'd settle for a good young back up 3rd or 1st baseman. And I still see Bird as our future 1st baseman.

Rick this guy has power off the charts and is a decent upgrade over Headley at 3rd and 22 Years Old. Remeber on December 1975 we traded with the Pirates for Willie Randolph, Ken Brett and Dock Ellis to the Yankees for Doc Medich. Craig Nettles was traded by Cleveland Indians with Jerry Moses to New York Yankees in exchange for John Ellis, Jerry Kenney, Charlie Spikes and Rusty Torres (November 27, 1972). All these trades later played a major roles in World Series runs and championships. I'm telling you, Gallo would help re-establish winning baseball in the Bronx.

In 108 ABs he struck out 57 times. That's more than half. Yes he's a big kid with power & MAYBE he'll develope into something good but is he worth the risk of losing someone like Miller?

No, not Miller, but for Chapman yes. Miller should bring the most.

What does that make me? Lol!

Contending in 2018 is laughable as it assumes mgmt knows how to build a team intelligently once ARod, CC, Tex and Beltran are gone. We could be looking at another '78 to '96 gap, putting ring 28 out to '27.

lol.....true tho' too fkng true....nightmares await by the decade...? I fkn hope someone takes out Tadpole first....!

This entire team can be dismantled, and re-built, but not by The Kids in the Hall....but then if 59 is a bad Yanx Fan, Tote is the Evil Dark Yankee Empire anti-thesis, then I'm just the peanut vendor with the Monkey, Rick and I share, (he sometimes wears its collar) ...

....after all this is a team with a secret plan; and destiny, as both Tadpole and Trashman are geniuses we've been brainwashed to believe.....

Yankees are going to see a drought like Death Valley's never seen, and its seen its worst already...with these clowns running the once greatest show on Earth...

I can see the Giants interest in either Miller or Chapman because there closer (Castilla) absolutely sucks. But without the DH in the NL Beltran would just be a rental in right until Pence returns.

wahhhh, wahhh wah wah.....stop it, your scaring me.

Just your opinion and nothing else. Duly noted.

We could be looking at another '78 to '96 gap, putting ring 28 out to '27.

This is way too deep for me.....I'm only a pom pom waving homerific blind Yankee fan wearing rose colored pinstriped glasses who is merely looking for a modest Yankee winning stretch of games and for Jackie Bradley Jr to stop being the 2nd coming of Willie Mays, their 40 year old DH not continuing his threat to win the Triple Crown, Mookie Betts to drop off his projected final numbers of 37 HRs/ 125 RBI and seeing Boston's and Baltimore's SP to inch closer to a 5.00 ERA.

...I've been saying the same thing for awhile now...but then again I'm a bad Yankee fan.

    I wouldn't say you're a "bad Yankee fan",
Just the type of Yankee fan who wants to show how smart and realistic he his by finding it necessary to inject pessimism during a six game winning streak....

And...jmho but, I wouldn't be beating my chest and taking cheap shots regarding Arod if I were the one who said he wouldn't make it out of ST in 2015.

...lol...game, set, match...and you are right, it is way too deep for you.

...in your world, evidently quoting something you inanely said 2-3 days ago is "taking a cheap shot"?...but it's OK for you to dredge up some that happened a year and a half ago...lol...maybe you should grow a thicker skin.

...as far as me showing pessimism, well, like many others here, I was showing pessimism well before the season began.

    ...bazinga !

...Ricks, it's fucking hilarious ...he points to one measly 6 game win streak, like it was a great accomplishment. Other than that, the longest win streak the Yanx have this year is 2 freaking games. They also have a 6 game losing streak, a 4 game losing streak, and three 3 game losing streaks...yet I'm supposed to be optimistic?
...he also stated last week that the next 20 games would be a bigger test than the first 47 games...still trying to figure out the logic behind that claim.

...but as usual, his ultimate trump card is bringing up something irrelevant that happened over a year ago. I didn't think ARod would make the roster last year...so what?...neither did most people.

Lmao....looking for help? Help me Rick...
    ..lol...

I guess my comment pointing to your particular style of bringing an odious presence to the team's best performance to that point flew right over your head.
Maybe it's because you think it's normal.
    lmao

...that's your explanation?...seriously?...would you care to quote me on exactly what I said that according to you, was "odious"?...you really shouldn't use words you don't fully understand. And no one here seems to have a problem with the way I feel about this franchise except you...why is that do you suppose?

...and "looking for help"?... why would I need help when dealing with a lesser mind?...as I've said before, you're barely good enough for batting practice. Try reading what Rick said again,
...slowly this time...he responded to your post, not mine, and apparently was trying to "help" you...try to keep up.
