I'm not feeling great about tonight's game. This is a classic trap game -- a home game against inferior talent, after a big win, and right before a long road trip. Yikes.
103-96. Not too far off. D Rose was a little off his game, it seems. Nice team effort, with over 20 from Luol, Jo and Derrick. Congrats, Bullies!
Man, Thibo is not happy, considering they won. Said they were playing with fire in that fourth quarter. Good to see Brewer did well, however.
What a matchup at the guard position. Not Wall vs. Rose, but Hinrich vs. Bogans. Hinrich 3-4, 6 assists, 3 turnovers, 6 points. Bogans 3-7, 3 assists, 2 turnovers, 11 points.
Not a very pretty game but a wins a win, especially when you're talking about a trap game. No one played well, with the exception of Bogans, Deng and Taj, sans the stretch in the third where took a long jumper and got benched. The bench still looks all over the place. Rose and Noah weren't on their games. The defense was mediocre, and the offense wasn't doing much either. If the Bulls play like this, they're going to get killed on the road trip. --Right now, most of Thibodeau's substitutions are based off of what the other team is doing instead of trying to lead. It's a little strange but not the worst thing in the world, especially so little of what he has implemented actually has started to work. --Taj grabbed a number of good boards and made some big defensive plays. I hope he can be more consistent in the parts of his game that do not involve putting the ball in the hoop. --Noah and Rose committed way too many turnovers. I'm sure it's mostly a product of them playing on a down night, but it's going to be trouble if they can't reign it in on the road. --On Tuesday, it will have been six weeks since Boozer's injuries and we haven't heard anything. I'm guessing the early return is a pipedream. I just hope we see him by early December. --I absolutely cannot understand why this team doesn't have another point guard, or at least another shooting guard. The Bulls really only have three players that are ready to play the guard spots. Brewer can play in stretches but is less than ideal at this juncture. It's like the Bulls are asking for trouble. --Korver and CJ Watson both look ugly. Both are making way too many turnovers, and CJ Watson has yet to show he has the ability to get the team into their offense. --Deng is slowly coming around, as the team learns the offense. He's strange to follow in that he really doesn't do anything without a system to work in.
John Wall plays out of control too much. But with that said, wow, that guy reminds of Rondo with a a jump shot.
