Chelsea have never conceded five at home in the EPL until today. Remarkable result. John Terry falling over and costing the Blues the game was karma for his especially bad behaviour this week--which is saying something considering his typical behaviour is already so bad. Walcott, Van Persie, Gervinho, Santos, Arteta, and obviously Ramsey were outstanding. Huge efforts from them today. Mertesacker had some issues in the first half costing us goals against but wasn't shaken out of the game, eventually getting enough done at the back to keep us from losing. Song had some brilliant tackles and Koscielny was mostly on point. Surprised not to see Vermaelen until the end. Szczesny was, typically, in outstanding nick but still has to mature a bit in his decision making. Easily could've been thrown out for his overly ambitious challenge on Cashley. Djourou was lost at right back and probably won't feature there again.
Chelsea may have beaten us by three or four goals had they kept up the intense wing pressure they began the game with. Early on Santos and Djourou were getting lit up. That dissipated once Arsenal started attacking and Chelsea's incredibly lazy defenders allowed it. The solution to Chelsea's streaking sideline attack was simply to fight back, imagine that...
and LOL at Terry falling. I will say in his defense though (regrettably) that was a terrible backpass by Malouda!
