I know it's not going to happen BUT does anyone else think that starting Crabbe over CJ would help us contain their starters better and give an even bigger advantage to our bench?

I would just put Harkless on Klay. I think that would help us a lot.

Not sure why we wouldn't. We had him on Paul eventually last series after some adjustments.

It sure looks like he should but maybe the game plan was let Klay get his and try to shut everyone else down, then we actually got on the floor and realized that Draymond Green isnt Mbah Moute and Bogut is more offensively capable than Deandre Jordan.

Honestly i can't think of how to hold GS off with this roster. We just don't have the size or defensive ability needed right now.

The only problem I see with keeping Harkless on Klay is that Harkless and Aminu have been switching everything that comes their way. It makes sense because they have similar length. If CJ or Dame are on Barnes, they wouldn't be able to switch at all unless we really want to see Dame matched up defensively with Green all damned day.

Barnes is a much better offensive player than Mbah a Moute was for the Clippers. Not sure Dame or CJ can cover him.

They can if he plays on the perimeter. He normally plays a catch and shoot role. But, the Warriors are great at playing mismatches, and they will post Barnes up against our guards A Lot. But, it might be worth it making Harrison Barnes be the guy having to win the game.

I agree on both points: it should happen and it won't happen.

Yes. Unless Crabbe were to wilt under the hot lights. Either way, it would be a great developmental experience for him. Also, a pissed off CJ might beast. :) It would be a Popovich / Zen Master move. Certainly worth a shot.

Hurt 2 starters in the 1st quarter instead of waiting until the 3rd quarter of game 3.

    1. Play with more energy. We just laid down and took it in the first half. Wake the fuck up. How much did these guys party on Saturday? No room for lack of energy in the playoffs.

    2. Hide CJ better on defense. Having him chase Thompson around for 30 minutes kills the rhythm he has on offense.

    3. Involve Bogut in the P&R more. Our best scoring opps came when we had Bogut's guy do the screening. Dame needs to pull up on that midrange shot a few more times. It's better than driving to the rim against a locked in D.

    4. And for godsakes. STOP DRIVING AT DRAYMOND. Straight line drives into his chest will get your shit swatted.

I'll take a Barnes post up over rhythm threes for Thompson. Even when CJ contests, Klay can shoot right on top of him.

I would have Damian guarding Kley.
Other adjustments: play stronger, attack the rim, don't rely just on the 3ball.

As much as Thompson hurt then, I think Green actually did as much damage. He us just too big and strong for either Moe or Aminu. If Aminu is going to be so bad with the dribble and his passing, the guy who played Green the best during the season was Vonleh. He was playing C and PF in the game Portland won big and really held his own against Draymond.

Yep. I would move Mo onto Klay and move Vonleh into the starting lineup to put on Green. Then have Aminu come off the bench to score and defend with the second unit.

I think you will see the 1st thing happen. I just don't think the 2nd will. A little too far outside of the coach's comfort zone. Hope I am wrong though.

At this point, why not? If it's about getting Playoff experience, that means for Vonleh too... especially when Aminu has really only had 1 good game out of 7 so far.

Noah is just bigger and stronger and actually played some guard before his final growth spurt. Not saying he would be amazing but Aminu has played scared and tentative most of the time.
