Fox can be traded tmo for my money. His NTC that starts next year will be an anvil if he’s not traded. First goal completely on Fox. The 2nd one on that crack d duo of Trouba-miller. Rangers down 2-0 and being outshot 15-3 with IGOR making at least 5 or 6 great saves.
We'll see how long Drury waits to do his job. The clock has been ticking since June, and he has not done a thing. Lost a handful of players, only added Smith and Carrick, who are both pretty useless. Refuses to break up this stale and finished core. And still, we wait for the guy to do anything. It is a shame this organization continues to be run by incompetent people. The great Ranger fans suffer as a result.
Dave Maloney just called the rangers a bunch of pussies for being awol while 4 players go after panerin. He’s right. They are. Lavs reminds me of Boone without the bubbles just standing there on the bench emotionless doing nothing. Fire this retread already.
Me and a few others have said you gotta trade Fox now before his NTC kicks in. He’s not going to get better as he ages obviously and he isn’t going to become a different type of player nor adapt his game to his declining skills. Move him now for important future pieces. Get Trouba out of here for some used cups, who gives a fuck about the return. Trade Miller because, like I said in a preseason threat, he’s awful and is a useless waste of size and just like Staal was he’s a road cone stick checking and not using his body. Shesty can be traded because there’s simply no way I’m tying up 12-13M in a goalie on a team that has this many holes. This is yet another rebuild we have to do and we have to make the tough decisions and choices regardless of feelings.
How about moving Panarin out here. Waive Vesey annd Brodzinski. Open up some spots for Othmann and Sykora.
Panzer started it, but most of us agree Fox should be dealt for a big return. If he isn't moved now, he'll be locked in for years. I mentioned this the other day, but no doubt at least one of Miller or Fox has to be dealt. I also expect Trouba and Lindgren to be gone before next season or sooner, I would be very surprised if either of those guys are back. I feel the Rangers should have at least 3 new dmen next season with Lindgren and Trouba gone for sure, and one of Miller or Fox gone. Upfront is a different situation with clauses and such. And Igor I continue to say should be simple. Either he takes $11M per, or I trade him. It is that black and white to me. If Drury goes higher than that he's dumber than even I think. Ridiculous cap management to pay a goalie that much, especially for a team that is not very good with many holes. But again, in order for any of this to happen Drury has to actually do something...
There is a long list of players that need to be traded, but to me no doubt top of the list are Zibanejad and Trouba. I am so tired of both of them. Zibanejad it is unlikely can be moved due to his NMC, Trouba can/will be gone by next season or sooner. I do wonder how much longer Drury sits around and watches this mess. And remember this, this whole mess and situation is Drury's doing. Don't ever forget that. He did nothing this summer except make the team worse, he is the one who said let's run this stale core back, and now he is the one in the difficult spot of having to try and do something at a time of year that trades don't usually happen. This whole disastrous mess is of Drury's own making. Please do not forget that.
