Get the lead vs. the Canes. That's the way to beat them.

Yeah. Was nice for Gallant being able to pick line matchups the last two games...things will be tougher for the Zibanejad line tonight likely playing against Staal's line for the most part. Hopefully, that line will be able to control the puck instead of having to play a lot of defense!

I hope Gallant is not stupid with Kakko and plays him with some decent players.

They look absolutely atrocious. Gallant better start making adjustments and move Kakko up.

This is what I expected. Canes we’re gonna come out flying because they’re at home and have lost two straight. Just be smart in the d zone and cash in on our chances when they come and it’ll be fine.

To be fair, it was a great defensive play. If Laf shoots it he’s shooting from the top of the circles and it’s an easy save.

The PK isn’t even playing Panarin to shoot. They are literally giving him a shooting lane and he’s passing up on it. We gotta find a way to move him.

And that's why Gallant rolls with PP1 for as much of the PP time as possible.

This team is pathetic on the PP and the fact we keep trotting Panarin out there is a joke. Panarin cannot be on the PP anymore.

The only reason PP1 is out there is to eat up time. They refuse to shoot so we might as well not be on the PP. Very reminiscent of Torts PP units here. Terrible zone entry and no set up plays. Just Panarin stick handling into traffic and then passing instead of shooting onto goal and hoping someone gets to the rebound.

I’d be happy if we just don’t give up another shorty. Panarin is an embarrassment out there. We put Kakko on the 4th line but keep rolling Panarin out on the PP when he’s as useful as Reaves would be out there.
