Game Thread Game #52 - BLAZERS @ LOS ANGELES LAKERS - FEBUARY 2, 2022 - WEDNESDAY - 7:30 PM (PDT) ROOT SPORTS

For the poll question I said that yes, he has a bright future with the team but I think that bright future is as a role player. I did not think as a role player maybe was the right attitude for what I think he's going to be. He's going to be a really solid back up four that brings defense and hustle on both ends of the court, can put the ball on the floor, make good passes, screen and get buckets in the paint. That being said, that's on what looks like his current trajectory. If he can get himself hitting open threes then he could be a Paul Millsap level force in the league.

 

If LeBron's playing we won't have a chance but if he's still out we might be able to pull something off. I sure wish Nance would return from that bone bruise so I could stop fucking seeing lineups with four small guards.

 

Last I heard, LeBron is out indefinitely with knee soreness. Interesting he's listed as Questionable.

For the trivia question, I assume McLemore is the current Blazer. As for the former Blazer? Hmmmm trying to remember who played for Lakers last year. No idea. I'm gonna look it up.....

....Oh of course, how could I forget him?

As shitty of a season we’ve had, we’re still only 3 games behind the Lakers. That’s shocking and hilarious at the same time.

Was talking to a buddy who lives in LA and we both agreed that neither team is very good, but it's a good bet the TrailBlazers will
at least show up and give an effort.
Can't say that about the Lakers.
And, that is the bright spot for me this year.
The results haven't been pretty, but I can appreciate the effort.
