Probably...I suspect the Islanders are going to play like their playoff lives depend on it (rightly so). I anticipate them outplaying the Rangers all over the ice.
Don't be mistaken...I always want them to win even if it's to their own detriment. It's merely a comment on how they have been playing virtually the entire year. Maybe you missed some games with the Optimum blackout? They are not a good team this year. Anyone who has watched them this season can see that.
Back in olden days this was called a playoff race, the Rangers have played shitty hockey and yet they're 4 points out - peaks and long valleys. There seems to have been an early rush to be the first to declare this season over, odd fodder for a Rangers board but they're in the playoff race nonetheless
Fat lazy lafrenier got his contact and has mailed in like top fat cats. Glad Drury signed him to a 7 year contract.
The Rangers really don’t have a true identity is the problem. They don’t have the top end speed to play a speed game, they don’t have the skill to play a skill game, and they don’t have the grit to play a gritty dirty game. They have pieces of each but they don’t compliment each other. It doesn’t seem like they know where their teammates will be when they have the puck. It’s just looking like beer league hockey with guys who were hanging around the arena waiting for a pickup game
Brodzinsky is a great extra. If the rest of idiots would play more of a north south game we would be OK
If Drury was smart he would move guys like Brodz, Carrick, Smith, Vesey for picks and free up spots for youngsters in the system. Set yourself up for next year like the craps did last year.
Rangers kicking the piles asses….at least on the scoreboard. The rempenator has a goal and is plus 3 on the night. Kid has been playing well!
Othmann can become Miller type of player if he can only improve his stupid skating. Why cant they ever work with their skating.
Got the win and certainly played better than against the Pens. Still outshot 37-18, the Rangers have been the beneficiary of two straight games where the opposing goalie has been awful. It will be an interesting test against a good Toronto team on Friday night. And if K'Andre and/or Fox are out long term it should make Drury's decision even easier. J.T. with 9 points, 5 goals, in 8 games. That has been a great move and will pay off into the future I believe. Despite all the turmoil and uncertainty, he has 44 points in 48 games this season, a 75-point pace over 82 games, pretty darn good considering.
Agreed about Rempe Mel, curious how many posters who have declared this season over also incorrectly assessed Matt's NHL future, tough guy to clear from the crease. Playoff run Igor shut the door again, it's easy to forget how dominant Igor can play after this year's start. Fox injury did not look good, K'Andre also left the game, gives Jones a chance to improve his trade value. JT Miller is the trade that keeps giving.
Dude get the fuck over the Othmann skating thing. There’s nothing wrong with his skating. You’re reading a scouting report from four years ago and you’re not adjusting your opinion. Othmann is a physical player with an elite shot. He’s not a small brittle player like Jack Hughes. That’s not his game.
