That's more like it! Our starters played ~24 minutes each. Earlier in the season, they'd have played ~40.
Hey, did I mention that I predicted the Bulls to win this one? Man, Charlotte is sad. MJ, what is up?
MJ doesn't look to me like the kind of guy that has the temperament to be a good GM. Competitive as hell, but perhaps his moods run a little too hot and cold and is lacking the decision making nuance that all good GM's seem to have.
The failure of the Bobcats fits easily into our narrative for Jordan. I'm not certain its entirely accurate. It seem to me like Jordan's role with the franchise was overstated for obvious reasons up until he bought out Bob Whitsett. Since then, he's invested in a good GM, good scouts and good community relations people. The team was being run on shoestring budget and I'm not certain any team can compete like that. Bismack Biyombo looks like he's going to be a decent pro and was a solid pick at 7. (Jordan also anted up the $500k for his buyout.) Biyombo just needs scorers around him. Kemba Walker is going to have to improve his game if he wants to continue to stick in the NBA, but you can say the same for a lot of this years' daft. I think it's a little too early to make pronouncements on Jordan as a GM.
Charlotte is clearly following the "get bad to get good" strategy. They're getting the first part right. The only true albatross contract they have is Tyrus Thomas. They need to get the first overall pick this year...God knows they've earned it.
