Though we couldn't attain 5 straight victories, we can still notch win # 5 here in our 6-game roadie.

The Blazers will have plenty of motivation to get the W here, as they are still in the heated battle with Dallas and the Lakers for that 5th and 6th spots.

This will be a back-to-back for Cleveland, so Portland gets somewhat of a scheduling favor.

The Cavs just ruled out Larry Nance Jr. and Matthew Dellavedova for the remainder of the season, and just signed Anderson Varejao to a 10-day contract. Yeah, the guy that the Blazers paid millions to do nothing. He still owes us.

Alright, Cavs were just eliminated from playoff contention, meaning they have nothing to play for except pride. Will Cleveland tank now that winning doesn't really matter this season?

So if the Blazers win this game they go 5-1 on a 6 game road trip. I would be happy with that. The team needs some rest though. I would like to see some starters get a game off or at least limit their playing time.

After dropping the game against the Hawks, the Blazers have now dropped back down to 7th with just 7 games left to go in the season.

I think we'll win this game and also beat the Rockets but I would only give us a coin flip in the Spurs game and we'll likely lose the rest. Every one of the four teams we are behind in the standings that we play are playing for positioning. There is a scenario where Denver would try to lose, if it was to avoid a healthy Lakers squad in the first round but still I don't know if they would do that. I think that because of the rest that teams will get during the play-in games, they'll all play through the end of the season.

I honestly don't think Utah, Denver, Phoenix, and LAC will prioritize positioning over rest. It doesn't matter. There isn't real HCA. Even when there is, top teams usually rest players at end of season. I have us going 6-1 the rest of the way. Not sure which game is the loss though.

If what you're saying is right then we should already see teams that have clinched resting their starters but for some reason all of the Jazz players were right around their season average for minutes played tonight.

I don't think you're right about all of our opponents sitting their players and I think we'll lose more than we'll win the rest of the season. You said 6-1 so I'll just say 3-4. Not sure if we'll get that San Antonio win though.

Would love to see a large early lead and resting some players in the fourth quarter.

Neither Conley or Mitchell played last night.

So who will start for Norm?

“Patellar tendinopathy” a fancy way to say he’s sitting out because of tendinitis if they want to give him a game off. Every player has tendinitis to some degree. Tendons inflame. They get iced.

I looked it up and there is a significant difference. It seems they change the terminology when there is structural issues. Anthony Davis and our own Harry Giles III had tendinopathy.

They have six guys out and own a 21-43 record. If the Blazers lose, they should be totally embarrassed.

This is a game the Blazers should win. There is no reason to play any starter huge minutes but in the end every game can be won or lost. The most important thing here is to get this win.

Funny that people wanted Nate gone and more offense, and his team here quit on him, then Terry arrives and now its defense and people want him gone. I want a change too and I wanted Nate out of here also and no way I would want him here again.

No Excuse not to win this game. Let’s GO!

I can't believe so many people prefer Nate to Terry. Are y'all like 15 yrs old or something? I can't stand Stotts but Nate was unbearable on a different scale.
