I don't think the Oilers are a good matchup for the Rangers. The Oilers O and skill, combined with the Rangers shotty D zone coverage, especially in front of the net, gives me nightmares. I also like the Rangers at home a lot less in big games. We'll see if they can play two strong defensive games in a row, this one against a very good offensive team.

DK has this one Edm -155 (even bigger favorites than the Rangers last night). Take that for what it is worth.

K Miller is so stupid with the puck. You would think this moron would learn by now how to clear the puck of his own zone

2 out of 3 penalties were bogus calls where oilers grab ranger sticks and hug them and the idiot refs fall for it costing a goal. Meanwhile draisitl grabs fox stick for a couple seconds in front of the refs and no call.

Solid game by these two teams. Would be nice to take this one in the third.

Nobody can finish unfortunately along with Edmonton blocking a ton of shots.

Can’t make the playoffs with no power-play.

Gotta hope Columbus loses at least one of the two games in hand.

Too many passes, missed nets and flubbed shots. Even JT can’t finish now.

Everyone seems to be focused on CBJ, people need to also watch Montreal, who is actually ahead of CBJ by a point, and ahead of us when you look at points % (1 point back with 2 games in hand).

The Rangers didn't play poorly tonight, a little sloppy with the puck, but overall, they played fine I thought. The issue is they are simply not good enough this season. When your 3rd line has 4th liners Carrick and Berard on it, you don't have enough talent.

I like the Rangers top 6, I also like the Rangers 4th line options (Rempe/Brod/Edstrom/Carrick/Berard), they really need to improve the 3rd line and add a top LD for next season (I think Othmann could be a potential 3rd liner next season).

If you give the Rangers a top LD partner for Fox, and a very good wing to play in the top 6 or 9, I think they'll be a very good team next season.
