I was checking out the Quinnipiac college hockey roster. It’s a fucking joke almost everybody is 22 to 24 years old on that fucking team. What is that school? Buncha mentally challenged retards who stay in school for fucking 5 to 6 years like animal house.

Covid allowed kids to stay eligible in college for an extra year. Every student athlete was granted one additional year of eligibility. Look at all college sports rosters. Lots and lots of guys hung around longer than usual. Also, with NIL deals kids can make decent money in college so they don’t need to rush into the pro leagues to make their money. Double edged sword though. NILs are good for kids to make money and hopefully it will incentive some to stick around a get a degree but the negative is beyond obvious lol. Leave it to the NCAA to allow kids to make money but not try to establish rules about it (just like the transfer portal) yet they’ll make absurd rules about all sorts of other things.

The standings are getting crowded....lots of teams in 'playoff' games for the final week of the season.
There is NO WAY thats a penalty on Mikkola...Robinson skated into his back....

Quick review and the right call was made, which was no penalty. Tough play for Robinson but wasnt due to anything Mikkola did.

Two things make me scratch my head a bit about Gallant:

    1. The PP looked great with Tara on the first unit when Kane was out. Tara is a shooter, and we need that on the PP. I do not believe you should have Kane, Fox, and Panarin on the same PP unit as none of them look to shoot. The right play is Tara on PP1 and Kane on PP2. So what does Gallant do, puts Kane back on PP1 against CBJ, and they go 0-2. I really hope he switches that up come game 1 of the playoffs and has Tara on PP1, Kane on PP2.

    2. When these players refuse to shoot, Panarin especially, Gallant needs to get on them. Our refusal to shoot, and not playing North-South getting pucks deep hockey, is how we will lose. He has to stay on these guys about those items. If we do the right things we'll be very tough to beat. If we fall into old habits, we'll lose round 1.

I like Gallant, and he has done a very good job here, cannot argue with the results, but I hope he comes around on/understands the above. These will go a long way in determining how far we go in the playoffs.
