That injury report is from yesterday. And I constantly visit the Sixers website, and whenever the team isnt playing on a certain day. It always say "out". Well enough of that. You think a the flu is going to stop AI....He played with a flu against Dallas. Anyways I say Sixers by 5.
Well, the Sixers are down early, 17-13 in the first quarter with seven minutes to go. Coleman has 4 points and 2 rebounds, Dalambert has 5 points, and Glenn with two. The rest of the team has yet to score. Let's go Sixers!
I'm not very familiar with either team, but from what I've seen and heard, I think Sixers will take this one if their defense holds up. Hard to estimate but I'll go with Sixers by 5.
At the end of the first quarter the Grizzlies still have the lead, 33-29. Coleman has eight and four, seems to be playing real well. Iverson with 6, 1 and 1. Dalambert needs to step up down low defensively and play his defenisve game more aggresively.
41-40 Sixers. Nice play by robinson he got fouled on the play but he still made it. Sixers needs to step up down low.

Sixers have the lead 65-60 with 5:58 to go. Iverson has 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. Robinson with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist. Dalambert with 5 and 9. Overall the play is much better in the second half than it was in the first, same for Dalambert, he has stepped up.
Great preview Martin. Looking at the starting lineups I would have given the advantage to Memphis, but the Sixers are holding their own. I know I'm a little late, but I'll say 76ers by 3.
Thanks,Trail_Blazer76! If Allen still has flu symtoms then it's not bothering him at all(11-21 fg) for 29 points.Coleman had a nice start but hasn't done much since.Samuel Dalembert is 5-5 from the floor but Aaron hasn't found his shot after the injury (1-3 3point fg)
At the start of the fourth quarter the Grizzlies shown no signs of letting up, but continue to play a strong game. Though they do not have a a leader in points, everyone is chipping in for them, and that is how they are keeping up. The Sixers starting lineup is playing rather well, Iverson has 29 points, 3 assists, and 4 rebounds, and he is suffering from the flu! Coleman is chipping in with 8 and 8, and has not made a shot since the first quarter, fo us to win this game, he needs to see more shots. Glenn has 18 points and 7 rebounds, and he himself has not been playing as well as he did in the first half. The Sixers have the lead 77-74 with 8:48 left in the game. Let's go Sixers!
Postgame Report
Post Game 91||||||||||87 Breakdown
This was definetely a tough loss for the Sixers. They and I felt like they were bound to win this game, however that was not the case. The Grizzlies held on very tough throughout the whole game and never let the Sixers get a huge run to take away the game from them. Even with Philly's high scoring frontcourt duo, the Grizzlies got this one 91-87 in the Wachovia Center. Allen Iverson lead the team with his extrodinary play throughout the whole game, with 34 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. He however was not the only one playing such a good game, Glenn Robinson dished in 20 points, 7 rebounds, and managed one assist. So far the duo have been on a good statisitcal streak, not a winning one, but a statistical one. Today they combined for 54 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists, a very good game for the both of them. However, I can't say much for the rest of the team, Derrick Coleman once again did not deliver when it meant the most, he only seemed to put in 8 points, and 9 rebounds. We all know that he is getting old and whatnot, but if that is the case, then sit him longer. The guy once again was scared to shoot, as he didn't get a single point in the second half. Eric Snow as well didn't have a particularly strong game, he managed for 3 points, 1 rebound, and 3 assists, definetely an off-game. Though this is Eric first of not many horrible performances this season and in his career, some people have off nights. So once again, I blame tonight's loss on the shoulders of Derrick Coleman. I guess Billy King just doesn't get it, does he? The Grizzlies played solid basketball thrroughout the course of the game. Though not having a solid points leader as Philadelphia has in Allen Iverson, the whole team chipped in and thus is the reason the win was awarded to the Grizz. Shane Battier and Lorenzen Wright both went huge and recorder double-doubles. Jason Williams put in his fair share with 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists, as he got the upper-hand in the matchup versus Eric Snow. Pau Gasol played a good game with 16 points, and 6 rebounds. This game was horrible for the Sixers team wise, and great for the Grizzlies team wise. We just did not pull together as a team and try to win the game. Guys such as Allen, Glenn, and Samuel stepped up and contributed and weren't scared to do so, as Eric and Derrick (mainly) hesitated, thus losing us the game.
Player Statistics Memphis 9 points - 2 rebounds - 2 assists 4 points - 2 rebounds - 4 assists 14 points - 11 rebounds - 0 assists 14 points - 4 rebounds - 3 assists 14 points - 11 rebounds - 0 assists Philadelphia 3 points - 1 rebounds - 3 assists 34 points - 5 rebounds - 5 assists 13 points - 6 rebounds - 0 assists 20 points - 7 rebounds - 1 assists 8 points - 9 rebounds - 0 assists Statistical Breakdown Field Goals: 32/80 (Sixers) - 35/81 (Grizzlies) 3-Pointers: 4/17 (Sixers) - 4/10 (Grizzlies) Free Throws: 17/24 (Sixers) - 17/25 (Grizzlies) Rebounds: 42 (Sixers) - 45 (Grizzlies) Assists: 17 (Sixers) - 24 (Grizzlies) Steals: 9 (Sixers) - 11 (Grizzlies) Blocks: 8 (Sixers) - 11 (Grizzlies) Player of the Game
Allen Iverson definetely deserves these honors as his stat line is pehnomenal, plus he is suffering from ther flu, how about that. Even though the Sixers suffered a tough loss in this game, Allen played really good with 34 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
That's nicely done Sasha (Post Game). Whats there to say, iverson gave his best but it just wasnt enough. Their defense was just out of loop today, especially down low where they let grizzlies score too many points in the paint. Coleman and eric snow just couldnt get into the game.
Eric Snow....what happened? So close, this was a real shame, hard work almost paid off, you'll get them next time.
