    Pre Game Predictions Contest

    1. Who will lead the Lakers in scoring tonight?
    2. Who will lead the Lakers in rebounds tonight?
    3. Who will lead the Lakers in assists tonight?
    4. Who will Andrew Bynum "truck" tonight?
    5. Will the Lakers win or lose?
    6. Will Kobe Bryant score over 40 points tonight?
    7. Will the Lakers have more FTAs or 3PTAs?
    8. Will the Lakers have under or over 20 turnovers?

Each question you get right is worth 1 point, and after each month there will be a prize for the highest score. If you edit your choices after the game starts to cheat, you'll be disqualified. Which means all picks must be in before the game starts.

I'll keep an updated point total and your scores will be reset to zero at the end of a month.

After losing to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Lakers must respond with a win tonight againt the Utah Jazz. The Jazz won the previous meeting because the Lakers didn't have an answer for Carlos Boozer. If Boozer gets off to a fast start again tonight, PJax has to insert Kwame Brown to defend Boozer. His size and height will make it difficult for Boozer to shoot over and create space. Lamar Odom just doesn't have the bulk to absorb Boozer's moves in the post.

The Lakers have to take advantage of Okur, and be disciplined in getting the ball inside to Bynum. This a matchup the Lakers can win each time and scoring easy baskets will allow the defense to set on the other end. The Warriors and Magic defeated Utah by scoring with their frontcourt players in the post. Dwight Howard abused Utah's big men and Andri Biedrins had a career night with 17 rebounds and 14 points.

The Jazz are going to be wore down after a tough game against the Spurs last night. The Lakers have to come out with energy and play inspired basketball for 4 quarters. The Lakers cannot afford to lose back to back home games and lose more ground in the Pacific Division.

I'm counting on a big night for Bynum, otherwise the Lakers are going to lose.

w00t! Going to this game tonight, my first this season.

Jazz on a B2B, not an easy one either against Spurs.

I say Lakers win by 5.

Lakers have looked good so far. Kobe has come out aggressive and on fire tonight, dropping 10/16 for 22pts in the first half. Also, we're doing a great job of keeping the Jazz off the boards, specifically the offensive glass. We've limited them to just 5 offensive boards and just 19 boards in the half. We've got 7 on the offensive end and 24 as a team. And a couple last things, I like how we're getting to the line too. We're being aggressive and going to the hoop, hence why we've shot 18 free throws, if only we'd have made more than 12 of them, and Kobe has been the culprit, only making 2/5. And lastly, how about that dunk by Kobe to end the half. Talk about a nice statement going in to the half. All in all, the Lakers have impressed me for the most part tonight and hopefully they keep it going the rest of the game.

    "NO HOMO"

But yeah, so far i've seen some spring back in Kobe's legs, and he's shooting efficiently 13/19. However, Lamar Odom reaaally needs to assert himself in this game. Only 7 shots? he's got to be more agressive.

52 points with 1 minute left in the third, maybe not 80, but 60-70 looks feasable. He has like 30 points this quater alone. Hopefully Phil doesnt bench him for the 4th, since they're up by a fair bit.

If Kobe plays the 4th, I say he goes for 66.

Kobe's shooting has been contagious it seems. 52 points, 30 points in the quarter. Talk about on fire. He's hit 11 in a row. It's games like this that make me wonder how people can argue against him being the best offensive player in the game. And, with the contagious shooting that I speak of, how about Odom with the buzzer beater? Everything is going for the Lakers right now, and the Jazz are getting a beat down in this game.
