Since theres a couple a minutes left until the game and there isn't a thread posted yet, I decided to just post a quick preview of the game. Trip, if either magnomonkey, Suprajames, or Shooter do make another preview, you can just delete this one. On Fox SW: 12/15/04 Atlanta Hawks (1-0) at Houston Rockets (0-1) Starting Lineups PG- Bob Sura (H) vs Kenny Anderson (A) SG- Tracy McGrady (H) vs Boris Diaw (A) SF- Jim Jackson (H) vs Al Harrington (A) PF- Scott Padgett (H) vs Antoine Walker (A) C- Yao Ming (H) vs Jason Collier (A) For Houston, I think they will come away with a victory but they must prove tonight they still have it together as a team. After being blown out by the Mavericks and having some tough losses to average teams, they must show tonight what they are made of. For them to have revenge on Atlanta for beating them last time, the Rockets must dominate early, and keep the lead at the end. McGrady needs to play at least decent tonight, which means he cannot have too many turnovers, bad shooting percentage, etc. Yao must grab boards, dominate their inside since no one on the Hawks can guard him, and overcome their obvious hole at PF. Role players gotta step it up tonight if those too don't, such as Jackson, Sura, Barrett, Padgett, the list goes on. For Atlanta, they must limit McGrady and Yao from becoming hot. All their players must play some hard defense to make sure that Houston has no easy shots, and especially not let them take control of the paint with Yao. Antoine Walker and Al Harrington need to do something with their team tonight as do everyone. They must not let up for any part of the game and keep it a close game. Houston win, 89-80.
that score is deceiving, the rockets took out yao and mcgrady with a few minutes left. they were absoleutely dominating. EDIT: just checked the actual boxscore, the rockets did dominate.
Yao played really well on the defensive end, his presence in the paint complete destroyed the hawks offensive flow. Maybe my brain has frozen because of the cold weather but wasnt the final score 92 - 69 Houston
Yeah WTF? the score was 92-69..or were the 89-80 and 86-81 just estimates on the final score? It was a good game, Mcgrady really played well in the 4th (like always)
