MATCHUP BREAKDOWN

Zydrunas Ilgauskas v Tyson Chandler ? In comparison with Ilgauskas? 25-11 performance, Chandler?s statistics, 2-7, really were woeful. Ilgauskas should prove once more that he is one of the better centers in the League and should also prevail here.
Drew Gooden v Mike Sweetney ? Gooden had very limited floortime on Thursday and so got a measly 6-4. Sweetney had 3 minutes longer than Gooden and scored 7-4. With these two tightly matched statistics it could be close come Boxing Day. However, Gooden really should beat his sub-par performance and therefore surpass Sweetney in this matchup.
LeBron James v Andres Nocioni ? LeBron was seemingly unstoppable on Thursday, scoring 37 points, grabbing 5 boards and dishing 6 assists. Nocioni was by no means lying down, however, for he managed to get 21-10. If Nocioni can play the best ball game of his life, and hope that LeBron has his second straight off-night, the Argentinean might have a chance. Probably not though, as LeBron should be on top, like he usually is.
Larry Hughes v Chris Duhon ? Hughes really had a torrid time on Thursday, with 9-5-1. Duhon had 10-3-8 and could end up having the beating of Hughes, should the two play similarly once more. However, Larry Hughes really should be able to play better and, if he does, will surpass Duhon..
Eric Snow v Kirk Hinrich ? Hinrich is a much better PG, as he proved with 8 points and 7 assists, although Snow did have one of his best games of the season with 9 points and 5 assists. If Snow can play that well again, it should spell triumph for the Cavaliers. Either way, however, Hinrich should come out on top.

OTHER NOTES

[*]Since the entry of LeBron and Kirk Hinrich, the Chicago-Cleveland series stands at 5-4 in favour of the Cavaliers
[*]The total points tally is 846-833 in the Cavaliers? favour.
[*]LeBron James has averaged 24.4ppg, 6.8rpg and 4.9spg against the Bulls.
[*]The Bulls are 12-14 overall and 4-6 in their last 10.
[*]The Cavaliers are 16-9 overall and 6-4 in their last 10.
[*]Ben Gordon came off the bench to score 22 points in 33 minutes on Thursday and is a force to be reckoned with. He could be a key factor if the Bulls are to beat the Cavs.
