BALTIMORE (Ticker) - A pair of veteran starters attempting toregain their from after time on the disabled list take the moundSunday as the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles meet in therubber game of a three-game series on Sunday.


Boston's Curt Schilling (6-5, 4.31 ERA) makes his second startsince missing nearly two months with tendinitis in his rightshoulder. Pitching for the first time since June 18 on Monday,the 40-year-old righthander worked into the seventh inningagainst the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.


Schilling wound up allowing four runs and nine hits oversix-plus innings in a 4-2 loss. He has lost his last threedecisions since coming within one out of a no-hitter at Oaklandon June 7.


Baltimore starter Steve Trachsel (5-7, 4.88) hasn't won in four<div class="pre">starts since a strained gluteus sent him to the disabled list</div>in early July. Overall, the 36-year-old hasn't won sinceJune 8, a span of eight starts.


Camden Yards may be the perfect place for the righthander to geton track considering he is 3-0 in nine starts here this season.

Josh Beckett pitched 8 2/3 solid innings as the Red Sox salvagedthe second-game of this three-game set on Saturday. After anexciting come-form-behind win Friday, the Orioles squandered achance to record consecutive victories against the Red Sox forthe first time since defeating their AL East rival on July 10and September 2 in 2005.


The Red Sox have won 27 of their last 33 meetings with theOrioles and are 51-21 here since 1999.
