NCAAF: LOUISVILLE (3-3) at CINCINNATI (6-0)

Cincinnati looks for 10th straight win vs. reeling Louisville

Louisville (3-3) at No. 15 Cincinnati (6-0), 7:00 pm EDT

CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Aside from top-ranked Louisiana State, nobody in the country has won more consecutive football gamesthan Cincinnati.

The 15th-ranked Bearcats look to extend their winning streak to10 games Saturday when they host sputtering Louisville in a BigEast Conference matchup.

Cincinnati (6-0, 1-0 Big East) opened conference play with atough 28-23 win at then-No. 21 Rutgers last weekend.

The Bearcats trailed, 20-14, before scoring a pair of touchdowns19 seconds apart late in the third quarter to seize control.

Ben Mauk threw a two-yard TD to Marcus Barnett and after AndreRevel's interception on the next play, Mauk connected on a27-yard score to Marshwan Gilyard.

With the win, Brian Kelly became the first Bearcats coach sinceRuss Cohen in 1935 to win his first seven games with the school.

Louisville (3-3, 0-1), meanwhile, has dropped three of its pastfour games, largely due to an inept defense.

The Cardinals rank second nationally in total offense (578.33yards per game) and fifth in scoring (44.0 points) but havesurrendered at least 38 points in four of their past five games.

Last week, Louisville came up short vs. Utah at home, 44-35,wasting 467 passing yards and four TDs from star quarterbackBrian Brohm.

The Cardinals have won four straight over their formerConference USA rival but trail the all-time series, 26-19-1.
