No. 23 Texas (4-2) at Iowa St (1-5), 12:30 pm EDT

AMES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Texas coach Mack Brown certainly is gladto be reuniting with Gene Chizik this week.

Brown's 23rd-ranked Longhorns look to right themselves Saturdaywhen they visit struggling Iowa State - coached by former Texasassistant Chizik - in a Big 12 Conference contest.

Two weeks ago, Texas was blown out at home by Kansas State,41-21, and the Longhorns followed with a 28-21 setback toOklahoma in their annual "Red River Rivalry" game in Dallas lastSaturday.

The Longhorns had tied the game, 21-21, on Vondrell McGee'sone-yard touchdown run on the first play of the fourth quarter.

But Sooners quarterback Sam Bradford countered with a 35-yard TDtoss to Malcolm Kelly just over four minutes later and Texaswas unable to score again.

Colt McCoy threw for 324 yards, two touchdowns and aninterception for Texas (4-2, 0-2 Big 12 South), which waslimited to 61 yards on 29 rushes.

Longhorns star wideout Limas Sweed aggravated a wrist injury inthe game and will undergo season-ending surgery.

Iowa State (1-5, 0-2 North) is in its first season under Chizik, who served as Texas' co-defensive coordinator the previous twoseasons.

The Cyclones dropped their third straight game with a 42-17setback at Texas Tech last Saturday.

Quarterback Bret Meyer both ran and passed for a touchdown inthe defeat.

The Longhorns beat Iowa State last year in Austin, 37-14, toimprove their record to 6-0 in the series.
