WASHINGTON (Ticker) - Shawn Hill takes the mound as theWashington Nationals aim for their fourth straight win in thesecond game of a three-game series with the Florida Marlins onTuesday.


Jason Bergmann threw seven outstanding innings and Wily Mo Penahomered as the National climbed out of last place in theNational League East with a 6-3 win in Monday's opener.

The Nationals are in fourth place in the East, one game ahead ofthe Marlins. Washington has beaten Florida five straighttimes.


Shawn Hill (3-3, 2.87) takes the mound for the Nationals. Therighthander. Since returning after spending three months on thedisabled list, the righthander has not received a decision infour starts.


Hill, who returned from a shoulder injury on August 14, allowedsix runs and seven hits in 5 1/3 innings of a 10-9 loss to Losngeles on Wednesday. Prior to that, he allowed two runs or lessin nine of his last 10 starts.


One reason the Marlins are currently in the NL East cellar isthe horrible season Dontrelle Willis (8-14, 5.12) is having.

The lefthander is just 1-11 in his last 17 starts, and sufferedthrough a career-worst 13-start winless streak earlier in theseason. On Wednesday, Willis allowed six runs and eight hits in5 1/3 innings of a 7-4 loss to Atlanta.
