The Chicago Bulls will try and get back on track against the rival New York Knicks when the teams have their lone meeting at the United Center this season tonight (7:30 p.m. CT | CSN-Chicago/ESPN Radio 1000). The Bulls (15-22) have dropped three straight contests, including a 97-94 home setback to the Denver Nuggets on Monday. Kirk Hinrich scored 20 points to pace Chicago, which blew an 18-point first-half lead and a five-point edge with two minutes to play. The Knicks (13-23) may be without starting point guard Stephon Marbury. Marbury, who has played in 280 consecutive games, sprained his left shoulder running into a pick set by Minnesota's Wally Szczerbiak in a 96-90 home loss to the Timberwolves on Monday. Marbury had scored 20 points before running into the forward with 8:18 remaining. He fell to the ground and winced in pain, then later called it "a dirty pick." After beginning the month 6-0, the Knicks have lost back-to-back games. The Knicks posted a 109-101 home win over the Bulls on Nov. 30. Center Eddy Curry, whom New York acquired from Chicago in October, sat out with a left calf strain. Chicago also got conditional rights to New York's 2006 regular first round draft choice and conditional rights to switch first round draft picks with New York in 2007. ------------ Preview courtesy on MyBulls email.
Is it just me or is Gordon always on fire against the Knicks. He is off to a incredible start everything seems to be falling for him. The Knicks are hanging in there, but the Bulls defense has been amazing. Chandler is playing some pretty solid defense on Frye. The Bulls just need to box out. Greatest moment of the night was hearing Curry get boo’d though. He has been a none factor thus far. Man I hate having to watch this game on MSG they need to bring back Marv Albert and fire Clyde Frazier by far the most annoying play by play man I have ever heard.
Alright, this game has shown me what our future is, and I think Gordon might be it. Gordon calls for a clear out, and ties the game at 88-88. Next possession Chandler stuffs Nate Robinson, and Hinrich hits the jumper to give us the lead. Chandler has not been doing so hot tonight, but has been incredible down the stretch. Nate Robinson getting to the basket way to easy though. The Bulls let the Knicks come back from six down, but lets see what happens. Edit: Ben Gordon the Knick killer with the floater puts the Bulls up by two.
Both teams turning the ball over like there is no tomorrow in the overtime. AD went into the crowd for some reason, but nothing happened. He went up to protect his wife that was being confronted by some fans. Real bad move some real aholes in some arenas. They should not have ejected AD. A man has to be a man and stand up for his family.
the knicks fought so hard without starbury, and eddy mostly in the 4th, went to ot but damn i cant believe gordon made that shot.... its so sad to see the knicks lose like that, what a physical game, 2 players fould out 3 got ejected, gordon always have a good game against the knicks last season i remember him hitting a game winner tear drop right on sweetney and in another game he hits a key winning jump shot with 6 secs left and today hes the hero again
