NBA: CHICAGO (1-5) at PHOENIX (6-2)

Scorching Suns look to stay hot against struggling Bulls

Chicago (1-5) at Phoenix (6-2) 10:30 pm EST

PHOENIX (Ticker) - The Phoenix Suns look for their fourthstraight victory on Thursday when they take on the ChicagoBulls.

Amare Stoudemire scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as theSuns extended their winning streak with a 113-102 victory overthe New York Knicks on Tuesday.

Stoudemire's performance against the Knicks may get him back ontrack after averaging just 13.0 points and 5.3 rebounds in hisfirst four games. The 24-year-old center missed three gamesearlier this season with pain in his right knee after havingarthroscopic surgery on October 2.

The Suns are winning games with their up-tempo style of offensewhich has them ranked sixth in the league, scoring 104.28 pointsa game.

While the Suns seem unbeatable, the Bulls are struggling to wingames. Chicago followed its first win of the season lastThursday with an ugly 30-point loss to the Toronto Raptors onSaturday, scoring a season-low 71 points.

The Bulls have struggled on offense all season, averaging 86.50points per game - third worst in the NBA. Chicago also rankssecond to last in field-goal percentage and three-pointpercentage, making just 38.1 percent of their shots from thefloor and 26.2 percent from 3-point range.

The Bulls have done well against Phoenix in the past (just like Detroit). I believe they'll do alright.

Yeah, we match up incredibly well against Phoenix. We beat them on the road last year (without Nash).

Last year they beat us at home (I believe with Nash) because Barbosa hit a 3 pointer...had the game, but Barbosa was clutch.

^^^ I think Hinrich missed that game, no? Didn't Gordon get 37 points and 9 assists? That's what it would take to beat Phoenix this time, IMO. Someone has to really step up and play like a star.

Yeah, Hinrich was out. Phoenix as a pure offensive team. We will not have the leisure of missing 5 or 6 shots in a row.

I think Bulls will win. 37/9 was against the Bucks.

Just realized the game is at 9:30....I was working on the assumption that we were the early game and planning my day around that. Oh dear! I'll be up until 12 now....that'll give me some more time to do my calculus then....I guess.

Phoenix fans could really help their team by chanting "Kobe, Kobe" - it'd really rattle the Bulls [IMG]

How many more games before we give up on this sad Deng as a post player experiment. Its dreadful. He can't do anything in the post, so why continue doing this crap?

Suns don't seem to know how to deal with the Bulls' 2-1-2 zone.

OK, they figured out the zone. Let Nash shoot 3's.

This team pisses me off. Gordon is dishin, but no one can hit a shot off his great setups. Hinrich gets near the basket so many times, but he hasn't figured out that he's supposed to shoot a layup when he's near the hoop. Nocioni gets in the lane at will with good position, but misses all the layups. Deng is completely dependant on his teammates. Wallace sucks.
