<h3>Auburn looks to respond to difficult loss vs. Ole Miss</h3>

AUBURN, Alabama (Ticker) -- Auburn coach Tommy Tubervillecertainly is glad to see Mississippi come to town this weekend.

Seven days after a difficult defeat, Tuberville's 23rd-rankedTigers host the lowly Rebels in a Southeastern Conferencematchup on Saturday.


Last week, Auburn (5-3, 3-2 SEC West) held a 10-pointsecond-half lead before coming up short at Louisiana State inBaton Rouge, 30-24.


After LSU took a 23-17 lead, Brandon Cox threw a three-yard TDto Rodgeriqus Smith with 3:21 to play to pull Auburn back infront.


But LSU came back to win the game on a 22-yard pass from MattFlynn to Demetrius Byrd with one second left.


Auburn is just one game behind LSU and Alabama in the SEC West.But since it lost to the Bayou Bengals, it will need lots ofhelp to reach the conference title game.


Luckily for the Tigers, they host Ole Miss (2-6, 0-5 West),which is the only team in the SEC not to win a conference game.

Last week, the Rebels were blown out by Arkansas at home, 44-8,as Darren McFadden and Felix Jones each rushed for more than 100yards.


Auburn has won the last three meetings since a 24-20 loss herein 2003.
