Booty and the rested top-ranked Trojans visit the 14th-rankedCornhuskers on Saturday to complete a home-and-home series ofmarquee programs. Last year, USC downed Nebraska in Los Angeles, 28-10, as Bootythrew for for 257 yards and three touchdowns. This will be theTrojans' first visit here since 1969, and they lead the all-timeseries, 2-0-1. Two weeks ago, USC opened its season with a ho-hum 38-10 homevictory over Idaho. A Heisman Trophy candidate, Booty passedfor three TDs in the triumph. While the Trojans got a week off after their season-opening win,Nebraska followed up its 52-10 rout of Nevada by visitingreigning Atlantic Coast Conference champion Wake Forest lastSaturday and escaping with a 20-17 triumph. New starting quarterback Sam Keller, an Arizona State transfer,was intercepted at the Nebraska 10 midway through the fourthquarter. But cornerback Zackary Bowman picked off a pass in theend zone three plays later, and the Cornhuskers held on. A top-ranked team last visited Memorial Stadium in 1978, whenNo. 4 Nebraska edged No. 1 Oklahoma, 17-14.
