NEWARK, New Jersey (Ticker) - With Martin Brodeur back in form,the New Jersey Devils have been unbeatable.


The Devils seek their eighth consecutive win on Wednesday whenthe host the Boston Bruins.


Playing in every game during New Jersey's winning streak,Brodeur has posted a pair of shutouts and has not allowing morethan two goals in any contest. The run of success comes afterthe 35-year-old began the year with a disappointing 5-10-1 mark.

The team's surge to the 30-point mark has them tied withPhiladelphia for second in Atlantic Division and just two pointsback of the first-place New York Rangers.


The Devils power play unit also has found its rhythm during thewin streak, converting 23 percent (7-for-31) of theiropportunities. Zach Parise and Brian Gionta have notched six ofthose tallies and have combined to score 10 of the team's 18power-play goals this season.


Overall, the Devils have outscored opponents 25-9 during the winstreak.


New Jersey, which is 10-0-0 this season when leading after twoperiods, needs four wins to match the franchise record of 11straight victories - a mark set in 2005-06.


The Bruins also have been playing well as of late, winning sevenof their last 10 games. Boston center Marc Savard has talliedat least one point in 10 straight games and has two goals and 16assists in that span.


Chuck Kobasew continues to enjoy a breakout season for Bostonwith a team-leading 11 goals and a plus-10 rating.
